Overview

The Indian Society for Technical Education is a national, professional, non-profit making Society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The ISTE aims at assisting and contributing in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organisations.

Goals

The society formulates the curriculum and educational processes of technical education. It develops effective teachers and educational administrators to improve instructional methods and administrative usages. It fosters research as a function complementary to teaching.

Scope

The Professional Society gives over more than 50 National and Regional Awards to Institutions, Teachers and Students for innovation and excellence in various areas of Engineering and Technology. This cultivates fraternal spirit amongst the teachers, administrators, industrialists and professionals. The ISTE thus brings about effective linkage between technical institutions industry and society.
