Overview

Founded in 2007 ITSA has grown leaps and bounds with the current committee comprising of 24 members chosen out of 164 applicants. ITSA aims to foster students of ITSA to reach the next level of cognizance in Information Technology both as a field and a branch of engineering curriculum.

As the name suggest, ITSA is the official dwelling place of budding nation builders. VIT Wadala is providing this in IT field. Information Technology, or InfoTech, is the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems, especially software applications and computer hardware.

Goals

Today, the term information has ballooned to encompass many aspects of computing and technology. IT professionals perform a variety of duties that range from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases. A few of the duties that IT professionals perform may include data management, networking, engineering computer hardware, database and software design, as well as the management and administration of entire systems. Information technology is starting to spread farther than the conventional personal computer and network technology, and more into integrations of other technologies such as the use of cell phones, televisions, automobiles, and more, which is increasing the demand for such jobs.

Scope

The following are the scopes that the committee aims to acomplish in every academic year:

  • To provide quality graduates who are quality driven, timely and ethics oriented.
  • To prepare students who are capable of accepting challenges in state of the art research areas.
  • To teach how to extend existing technology for the benefit of the common man.
  • To inculcate a sense of low capital IT entrepreneurship.
  • To enhance the quality of students so that they can provide for themselves in the outside competitive world.
