I was born and brought up in Kalaburagi, an educational hub in the state of Karnataka. Belonging to a family of teachers, I would like to give full credit to my father, retired Principal of a Degree College and mother, retired teacher in Government College in Karnataka for shaping my inclination towards the noble profession of teaching in my initial years.

Being the eldest sibling, I always had a sense of responsibility and it is this very quality I bestow equally on my students while conducting teaching sessions. Teaching my siblings since their school days further reinforced the passion of teaching in me. Coming from an academic background, excelling in studies was an inherent expectation from me that I could successfully live up to. However, it was the securing of the first position in final year of Post-Graduation from PDA College of engineering that was the formal acknowledgement of my sincerity and hard work.

Over the past 13 years, I have been teaching subjects like Mobile communication, Cryptography and System Security, Software Engineering and Management of information Systems across different semesters to both BE and ME students. Communication skills and confidence are the most important factors in the overall development of a student and I see it as the responsibility of me as a teacher to ensure a holistic growth by encouraging full participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

My areas of Interest include Networking and Security while my research interest is in the field of Psychology as I believe understanding people and giving proper guidance is the key to a healthy and stress-free life. Apart from my academic association with the department, I am also responsible for establishing industry interactions with the student fraternity at VIT to explore the real-world challenges and current trends in the industry. As a Co-convener of CESA, which is primarily a departmental technical committee, I have always been organizing technical sessions and hands on training from industry experts in the college so that students are aware of new technology and its benefits.

I find life to be a synergy of nature and nurture, which needs to be understood and implemented in adaptable ways. Today, there is a need to understand nature and inculcate a sense of responsibility towards an eco-friendly environment. To support this cause, I plant trees in my locality or in my kitchen garden. This infusion of nature improves our creativity and level of concentration. During my leisure, I also like to do painting and cook delicious food to ensure I don’t deprive my taste buds of their rights.
