Born in a family of a teacher and a banker, since my childhood I had a natural inclination towards money, finance and management. I ventured into the Commerce stream, pursued B. Com. and subsequently completed M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing. Immediately thereafter, I got an opportunity to teach finance subjects in one of the prominent B-schools in Udaipur. After three years of teaching in a B- School, I tied the knot with a Mumbai-based wealth manager who then worked for a Netherlands-based bank. Our dining table conversations revolved around topics like the stock market, economy, and GDP which took me much closer to subjects like Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Financial Markets, Financial Accounting, Business Statistics and Operations Research. I used traditional methods as well as modern aids in a highly innovative manner to deal with these courses in the classroom.

I consider myself to be a resourceful and highly imaginative person when it comes to academic involvement in management teaching. My decade-long experience as a teacher leads me to offer individualized support, encourage students’ creativity, and foster open-mindedness which provides high quality education to all my students. I am entrusted with the responsibility of designing the pedagogy and planning student activities. Familiarity with the general administrative environment at educational institutes and an idea about their practices has given me the opportunity to handle examination responsibilities at the Management Department of VIT. Efficiency in interpersonal communication, problem solving and decision-making managerial skills help me in handling the administrative activities entailing event management like trainings, seminars, conferences and fests and implementing operational plans for ensuring the smooth running of the Institute. I am also the Treasurer of the VIT Student Council.

Amongst my personal interests and hobbies, I love travelling in order to explore the unexplored and have visited the length and breadth of the country, and even some amazing international destinations. I am a passionate foodie, and enjoy cooking desi Indian food as well as experimenting with various international cuisines. I am also an avid Bollywood fan and love listening to music.
